Kabal Background

Overview:
The Kabal of the Black Jackal is an older Kabal, tracing its history back to the founding of Commorragh itself. Led by the fearsome Black Jackal, they are known for their ruthlessness and cunning in both battle and business. While notable for not making use of Haemonculae or their creations, they make up for this by keeping an entire Wych Cult on retainer, the result of one of the largest acquisitions in Eldar history. Their warriors are resplendent in bronze-colored armor, wielding weapons the color of the purest silver.

The Black Jackal and the Pack:
The Black Jackal, leader of the Kabal of the same name, is rumored to have had more attempts on his life than any other Eldar save for Asdrubael Vect himself.  In reality, the original Black Jackal has been dead for millennia, but had such a fearsome reputation that his successors have always taken his title.  His retinue of Incubi bodyguards, usually referred to as "the Pack," are fiercely loyal to the Black Jackal, whatever his true identity may be...

The White Dominatrix and the White Scars:
Samhaetha, known on the battlefield as "the White Dominatrix" is the leading Dracite of the Wych Cult of Anguish, lieutenant to Savard, the Mistress of Anguish, and is also the Black Jackal's favorite mistress.  Her personal bodyguard, the Wych team known as "the White Scars," accompany her on the battlefield where she exercises unparalleled control over her adversaries, manipulating them into making a mistake before striking a mortal blow and draining their life force away to replenish hers or augment her already formidable combat abilities.  Her team's color, the purest white, was chosen because Samhaetha found the contrast between it and the color of blood to be aesthetically pleasing.

The Widowmakers:
The Widowmakers are one of the stronger teams in the Wych Cult of Anguish, behind the White Scars and perpetually switching places with their rivals, the Bloodthirsters.  They have been known to make a mockery of any foe weaker than a Space Marine, and find even them to be slow and impotent.  The Widowmakers wear a medium grey as their team color, representing the color of grief and despair.

The Bloodthirsters:
The Bloodthirsters, rivals of the Widowmakers, are known for the brutality of their tactics and wanton disregard for their own lives on the battlefield; as a result they have an exceptionally high casualty rate, even for Wyches.  Despite this, they are still one of the best performing teams in the Wych Cult of Anguish, and while their appalling death rate might be a hindrance, you can't argue with success...

The Warriors of the Kabal:
The Kabalite warriors that serve the Black Jackal ruthlessly dispatch their targets under a withering hail of firepower, only letting up when they can no longer see their targets.  The Kabal of the Black Jackal is known for issuing Webway Portals to their Sybarites, the better to bring reinforcements within the enemy's fire zone unscathed.

On occasion, a squad of Kabalite warriors will be assembled on an ad hoc basis to provide fire support to the Kabal's raiding parties.  They will usually be entrusted with annihilating enemy armor and heavy troops so that the rest of the army can close in unmolested by enemy fire.

On larger raids, the Black Jackal will mount a squad of Kabalite warriors onto one of the Kabal's few Raider-class grav skiffs.  Such squads tend to provide a troubleshooting role to the rest of the raiding party, lending extra firepower or troops as needed.

The Archangels of Hell:
The Wych Cult of Anguish makes significant use of Reavers in their arena deathmatches, taking advantage of their speed to catch their foes unawares and score some of the more grisly kills.  These fighters leap at the chance to bring their talents to the chaos of battlefield, and as such they can often be found in the Black Jackal's raiding parties, killing and maiming with wanton glee.  The Archangels of Hell are one such squadron.

The Ravagers:
The Kabal of the Black Jackal makes extensive use of Ravagers to provide much-needed fire support on the battlefield, especially against heavily armored targets such as Space Marines.  They tend to saturate their targets with Disintegrator fire, crippling all but the most robust firebases.
